I contemplate the multifaceted nature of Time, while dealing with the practicalities of it in live performance. I search for the dance equivalent of muzak, an effervescent, spiffy, waiting room choreography to mark the time passing.

 

The audience and I share a space of not knowing, and as time passes we get closer to understanding something, and closer to each other, until some are sharing the stage with me. I become a gatekeeper of a game of musical chairs, in an attempt to generate anticipation and adrenaline through this participatory game of chance. Time is motion and we create an event together, that will exist suspended in time and space, forever.
