SpoonTalk

SpoonTalk is a one-to-one performance practice. I create a space for intimacy and communication, in which the participant can be physically held and listened to. We share space, time, and the rhythm of our breath.

It is a practice of deep listening, an opportunity for the participant to drop into a liminal space between alertness and comfort, simultaneously familiar and unfamiliar, honest yet constructed.

I am fascinated by how we can connect with other bodies so deeply, in such a short time, by spooning.  It is a nourishing practice of care that opens up intriguing questions and complexities beyond its perceived simplicity.
